This week I've been hit by the travel bug big time. I've been dreaming about our beautiful time in Europe (2014!? what!?) non stop.. The snow.. The alps.. The sleep ins.. Parisian croissants for breakfast.. Italian huts on Christmas..Oh dang. Travelling with my husband was the best time of my life! It feels like a dream. This week I am going to start printing more of our travel and wedding photos in big scale. I honestly only have one or two (6X4) prints in my whole house. It's ridiculous.. I have nothing professionally framed! It's not just enough to have an Instagram full of my favourite pictures. ;)
I'm all about long skirts this winter. Being on the average height side I've never worn skirts much because they seem to be a little frumpy on me, but I think I'm just not styling it right. With a shorter crop knit and a saddle bag to match I think people of any height could get away with it. I'm definitely going to experiment with a skirt this winter! I found the skirt on the right on UO this week; here's the link: http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=37980083&category=W_APP_BOTTOMS_SHORTS
I found this photo on Pinterest this week and FELL IN LOVE. We've been slowly trying to turn our shed into a studio over the last month, and seeing this just gets my creative juices flowing! It's awesome to be able to transform such an average shed into a teenage room, or a studio like we're doing. You're basically adding an extra room onto your house! Even if your renting like we are, there are still so many ways to transform the space. Addings rugs, moving things around, adding lights or windows (or landlord let us put a big french door that we got for free in the wall, SCORE!) OR even just putting a desk in there and making use of the space that usually just collects clutter. It feels good to make a beautiful space!
Chamomile tea is my new addiction. I've been having a lot of trouble sleeping lately, and Chamomile tea has been getting me through some very sleepless nights. It's become part of my nightly ritual before bed and honestly it works a charm, by the time I've finished my cup I'm already yawning and feeling relaxed. This week my goal is to find out whether I can buy chamomile seedlings from my local nursery, and plant it in my garden. Hmm *winter*... or at least, research it and plan to do it for next Spring. ;)
